Ways to Give to CORE Community Resources
Make a Cash Gift. Gifts in any amount are welcome and appreciated. Mail gifts to CORE Community Resources, P.O. Box 1530, Bayfield, WI 54814 or give online www.corecr.org using a credit or debit card. We will send you a charitable gift receipt for your records.
Become a CORE Sustainer. You can become a CORE Sustainer by setting up ongoing, automatic monthly gifts. You'll provide continuous support for CORE programs and services, as well as ensuring CORE's ability to plan for the future. Click the “Donate” tab on our website www.corecr.org and choose “make this a monthly gift” if you are using a debit credit card. Stop by our office at 257 Manypenny Avenue, Bayfield if you want to set up a bank transfer, or if you have questions.
Give Appreciated Securities. Consult with your advisor and determine which investment makes the best gift. Then contact our office 715-779-3457 for instructions on making a gift of appreciated securities to benefit CORE.
Give with an IRA Charitable Rollover. If you are 70 ½ years of age or older and have an IRA, you can use all or part of your “Required Minimum Distribution” to make a tax-free gift. Please notify us if a contribution is coming from your IRA.
Donate your gently used clothing, housewares, furniture to Encore. Almost half of CORE’s budget comes from our Encore Resale Store. Consider donating your clean, quality items to Encore. We can usually arrange for volunteers to pick up furniture if needed. Call Encore 715-779-3455. Or stop by and shop!
Planned Giving. A bequest is one of the easiest gifts to make. With the help of an advisor, you can include language in your will or trust specifying a gift to CORE Community Resources, Inc. as part of your estate plan. Here is some standard language you may want to use:
I give and bequeath the sum of $___________ , or ________% of my residual estate to CORE Community Resources, Inc., located at 14 S. Broad Street, Bayfield, WI 54814, a Wisconsin nonprofit and section 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. EIN # 56-2618057.
A retirement asset, such as an IRA account, also makes an excellent bequest. By designating CORE Community Resources, Inc. as the beneficiary of all or part of your IRA (using a beneficiary designation form provided by your custodian), the full value of the gift is transferred tax-free at your death and your estate receives an estate tax charitable deduction.
