Our Mission:
CORE strives to enrich the lives of older adults
and increase food security for all in northern Bayfield County.
|
CORE Community Resources was established in 2006 to help meet the needs of older adults residing in northern Bayfield County. Since then, we have expanded our scope of services to include addressing food scarcity amongst our neighbors.
Over the years we have helped hundreds of older adults remain independent by providing transportation to medical appointments, social interaction opportunities, friendly visits, healthy meals and food, and more. We do this work with the help of our dedicated volunteers and generous donors. A large portion of our revenue is provided by Encore, our thrift store on Broad Street, which is 100% volunteer-powered. Additionally, we have engaged in strategic relationships with small, local food businesses to rent our lovely commercial kitchen in order to provide supportive funding for our ongoing CORE programming and mission. If you are interested in becoming a CORE Community Kitchen tenant, please email Brie Roland at [email protected]! Please join us on this journey, as a volunteer or donor. Contact us at [email protected] to talk about where your skills and interests might best fit. |
