Organizational Background

Established in October 2006 with funding from the Mary H Rice Foundation, CORE Community Resources’ mission is to improve quality of life for seniors and reduce hunger for all.  Our service area includes communities in the northern part of Bayfield County, including Washburn, Bayfield, Red Cliff, Cornucopia, and the surrounding area. Services are offered free of charge because of generous donors and financial support from foundations.

Structure

CORE is governed by a Board of Directors who represent the geographic area served.  This is a working board with committed individuals who support CORE with active participation on committees, planning special events, and contributions.  

Funding

Encore Resale Store provides financial support for approximately 5% of our current operating costs.  The balance comes from grants, individuals, and foundations.
