Nancy stepped onto the CORE Board this past November. She joins the CORE family with a broad history in Bayfield and in the non-profit world. Prior to moving to Bayfield, Nancy worked for a variety of non-profit organizations in Wisconsin including the American Cancer Society, the Wisconsin Chapter of the Leukemia Society and the Ice Age Park & Trail Foundation. Fund raising and non-profit administration skills became second nature.
Seeking change, Nancy and her husband, Steve moved to Bayfield in 1991 with the purchase of Pinehurst Inn. Through many renovations, expansions and challenges, they ran a successful business for over 20 years. During that time Nancy served on a number of Boards including the Bayfield Regional Conservancy (now Landmark), Apostle Island Community Fund and the Bayfield Chamber & Visitor Bureau. Pinehurst Inn was sold in 2016.
Nancy and her husband are both now “retired” but truly are more active then ever. Nancy’s passion is weaving on her 8 harness loom & spending time with family. She is pleased to be a part of a strong CORE board continuing to meet the critical needs of our community.
