In 2017 Marty packed up his suits, grew a beard, and left behind city life in St. Paul, MN.  He and his wife Jane fulfilled a dream and moved to their lake home in NW Wisconsin.  He was an executive at US Bank for 25 years and has a BS in Econ from the U of MN and an MBA from the Univ of St. Thomas.  He led the largest operations team (200+ staff) in the Controller’s Group and was a key member of the due diligence team for several acquisitions.  He has extensive experience in Sarbanes-Oxley and Comptroller of the Currency regulatory requirements and had a “perfect” internal and external audit rating for 10 straight years. Marty is a part time Realtor for Edina Realty in Spooner, Wi. 

Marty and his wife, Jane, are entrepreneurs who started 4 small businesses since moving to NW Wisconsin: U-Roast-Em.com: an online high end coffee bean importer and roastery (Headwaters Roasting) located in Solon Springs, WI; Tomarell Properties, LLC, a small real estate development firm named after their 3 adult children Tom, Maria, and Ellen; and Coffee Cottage Lake Home, an Airbnb located in Gordon, WI. 

Marty is an avid participant in and supporter of the arts and is currently VP on the board of Lucious Woods Performing Arts Center in Solon Springs, WI. 

Marty and Jane are part of the regular crew of volunteers at the CORE Food Pantry every Thursday morning.
