Kathryn Grafsgaard serves as the Executive Director and brings extensive experience in federal and state program administration, non-profit management, fund-raising, leadership and program planning. Kathy has a MBA, and BS in Food and Nutrition/Dietetics. She served formerly as Vice Chair of the CORE Board, and Chair of the Friends in Deed Program. Kathy and her husband Dave Olson reside in Washburn. They have 4 grown sons and 2 daughters-in-law.
Robin Whittaker serves as CORE's Program Coordinator. In this new position at CORE, Robin will coordinate community-based expansion efforts, work closely with volunteers and care recipients, and coordinate and oversee many of CORE's program areas. Robin has an Associate's degree from WITC in the Gerontology Professional Program and is completing a Bachelor's degree from UW-Oshkosh. Robin was born in Portugal, and lived overseas and stateside with her military family. She lives in Ashland, and has four children.
Linda Ovaska has been hired as temporary Office Manager for CORE. Linda resides in Washburn with her husband of 43 years, Bill. Linda has an Associate's Degree in Accounting and has worked for Ashland County Human Services and the Bayfield County Highway Department. Linda retired in 2015 so that she can enjoy grandchildren, get together with family and friends, hike, read, and many other hobbies. Linda and Bill have 3 grown children, Amber, Cassie and Nicholas and two grandchildren. Linda has also been a volunteer at ENCORE.
Kim Metropulos is working as the ENCORE Resale Store Co-Manager along with Donna Line. Kim brings a great deal of retail experience, having owned and operated the Shabby Shop in Washburn for 4 years. She also has administrative experience from working in law offices. Kim lives in Washburn, and has two grown children.
Donna Line is working as the ENCORE Resale Store Co-Manager along with Kim Metropulos. Donna is a lifelong resident of Bayfield. Donna brings her spirit, creativity and passion for CORE's mission to the organization.
