CORE Wellness Events & Series

The Stepping On falls prevention series is now full and with the first session on May 28. CORE is grateful to the volunteers who are generously giving their time to help the series run smoothly. We’re also thankful to Bayfield’s Bethesda Lutheran Church for providing the space and to the guest experts who will play an essential role throughout the series. The Stepping On falls prevention series is now full and began May 28.
We will run the next series again in 2027. Email us at [email protected] if you would like to be added to the list for next year.

This fall, CORE will be hosting a Ballroom Basics for Balance instructor training at the Washburn Cultural Center. Two of our CORE volunteers will be participating in the training, which will allow us to add our newest wellness series—Ballroom Basics for Balance—to CORE’s programming as early as Fall/Winter 2026!

What is Ballroom Basics for Balance?
Ballroom Basics for Balance is a joyful, evidence-informed dance program designed to help participants improve balance and reduce the risk of falls.

Through simple ballroom-inspired movements, participants build confidence, trust in themselves and others, and connect with new friends in a welcoming environment. These fun classes offer a chance to move, laugh, and expand one’s world through dance.
