Scott Griffiths has spent the majority of his life in the Chequamegon Bay Area and has worn many hats over the length of his career ranging from wilderness trip leader, street performing puppeteer, actor, metal fabricator and project manager, non-profit director, educator, IT guy, grant coordinator, and Mayor of the City of Washburn.
Currently, Scott is the Program Director of SPARK, a teen substance use and resilience-building program in Ashland. Scott has served on several non-profit boards including the StageNorth Groundlings and the Historic Civic Center Foundation (The Club in Washburn)
“My role with SPARK is a fantastic merger of all of my skills and interests. I have been blessed to pursue many passions over the course of my life and I want our kids to see that they have that same opportunity. The activities that we offer are great, but most importantly we focus on building relationships with the youth we serve. Relationships first, after that everything else can fall into place. I am excited to become part of the team that supports CORE’s mission in the region.”
