Sarah is originally from Michigan but has been calling the Chequamegon Bay home for the last 15+ years. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Studies-Public Policy with a focus on Sustainable Agriculture and is a certified somatic & yoga instructor. She’s been a farmer for several years and has worked in food access, nutrition and community food education, Farm to School and Farm to Patient programming, and many other food and wellness centered adventures. She is passionate about centering equity, access, and justice in food systems and is excited to serve the community through this work at the CORE Food Pantry. When not lifting great amounts of food in and around CORE, she loves growing, cooking, and eating food for herself and her family. She can also be found wrangling many of her well-fed pets during her free time and sometimes during her non-free time. Swimming, hiking, and exploring the Lake Superior region also brings her great joy.
