Lois was elected to the CORE Board in 2019, shortly after retiring from Northland College where she worked for 20 years as a major gifts and planned giving fundraiser. She also helped found the Apostle Islands Area Community Fund and worked part-time for 9 years to support the work of its Advisory Board. Lois moved to Bayfield with her husband Don in 1974, and sadly lost Don to cancer in 2017. Their adult children, Jennifer and Bryce, have both chosen to return to Bayfield where they live and work. Lois enjoys walking, hiking, biking, travel, volunteering at Encore, the Fountain Garden Park and for Bayfield Area Trails.
