Barb grew and went to school in Beloit, WI. She received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from UW-Whitewater and her masters from UW-Madison in Behavioral Disabilities.   After many years of vacationing on Madeline Island, Barb and her husband, Dennis, purchased land in the town of Bayfield and built their home looking at Madeline Island. Barb retired from teaching 18 years and she and Dennis moved to their new home to enjoy all the area has to offer. She has served on several boards since moving here: Apostle Area Community Fund, Bayfield Education Community Fund and for the past 5 years CORE.
