Superior Life Long Learning
Superior Life Long Learning now enters its third year, bringing you intriguing topics, field trips, and learning experiences. Once again, the Superior Life Long Learning (SLLL) Committee has recruited a diverse group of presenters, with a large range of topics. We hope you see many offerings here that intrigue you, and that you’ll join us in exploring new ideas, places, and knowledge.
Inside this booklet, you’ll find descriptions of presentations covering thirteen different topics. Four classes are meeting three or more times: The Monthly Night Sky, Come Back to the Classics, Thread Stitching, and Exploring Identity. The remaining nine are one-time presentations. You may read about this year’s twelve talented, interesting, and knowledgeable presenters beginning on page 12.
The last page of the booklet has a registration form. You may sign up for as many offerings as you like right now, and you may also add presentations later. Many have a maximum number of participants. We recommend you register early! If you preregister and then cannot attend a particular presentation, please contact CORE as soon as possible. Many classes have waiting lists; if you can’t attend, let us know so someone else can have your spot. Notify the office at: 715-779-3457 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Brought to you by CORE Community Resources’ Wellness in Aging initiative, the Superior Life Long Learning (SLLL) presentations and field trips are offered at no charge for residents age 55+, living in Bayfield, Cornucopia, Madeline Island, Red Cliff, Washburn, and the communities that share their zip codes. The American Family Insurance Foundation recently awarded a grant that is partially funding the 2017-18 series. Your support, however, is needed to fully fund SLLL and ensure it continues. You may make a tax-deductible contribution using the form on page 15 of this booklet.
We hope you enjoy the learning adventure!
